r/okbuddychicanery — the lore, decoded

"Waltuh," monologue obsession, and a subreddit that ate itself.

A community born in 2020 around Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul that evolved from straightforward fan discussion into absurdist meme culture. The subreddit's lore spans from early character references like Waltuh, Lalo, and Saul through increasingly unhinged memes such as the "I am not crazy" monologue worship and the "kid named finger" phenomenon. By the current era, the community has spiraled into pure nonsense with recurring motifs like "gooning," "domicile," and "pluribus," where meaning has been abandoned for in-jokes. Over six years, it transformed from a show-focused forum into a locked-in community speaking its own dialect of Breaking Bad obsession taken to absurd extremes.
